About Tang

The Three Hundred Tang Poems is an anthology of poems from the Chinese Tang Dynasty (618 – 907) compiled by Sun Zhu (1722-1778) around 1763. If we compare the Tang Dynasty with Western and European history then we are living in an age when the Merovingian kings ruled France. The Angles and Saxons who invaded Britain and pushed the Celts into the western regions of the island adopted Christianity and are now writing and keeping their poetry. In the Middle East, the Muslim conquests were beginning.

My version is shorter, sometimes edited, sometimes not. It is just for fun.

Wikipedia has given us a list of the 300 Tang poets.
